Re: Sunday World

Look blackstudio. I didn't say you shouldn't raise awareness about crime etc. I just suggested you do so in a private forum for registered users and then, after a while, when the awareness has been raised or the problem has been sorted why not get rid of it if you feel it is no longer serving a ben...

Re: Archival of threads

Hi shee. Just a note on the 727 users. From looking at our members list I suspect a lot of them are spambots. As an example check the 2nd last page (14) of registered users and you will see some. They are easy enough to spot. 727 is probably not an accurate reflection but I take your point. However...

Re: Parking

Hi guys, we had the exact same issues and we didnt want to use the clampers on neighbours for fear of bad feeling, but if you have asked nicely and left notes then you dont really have any choice, after a while here when people realized that you mean business things settle down, what happens is that...

Re: Sunday World

Belmayne gets enough stick from people who don't even live here, the "sexy" advertising, the "celebrity" guests, the proximity to "Bad" areas etc etc. I for one feel and have felt for a long time that the constant negative posting on this site would eventually damage t...

Re: Sunday World

I would have to strongly disagree, I think you fundamentally misunderstand the purpose of this forum, to even have to consider worrying about the PR for Belmayne is going to distract from what this forum is. The residents and their issues are the main priority of this forum in a freedom of speech m...

Re: Archival of threads

Hi I dont fully understand the archives thing eg if you wanted to do a search on joyriders what would come up? all the posts ever on it or only from a certain back date? I disagree that people need to change their way of creating awareness about issues they want to address. There is no evidence that...

Re: Sunday World

Hi guys, The media are loving the downfall of the estates launched with fanfare in the boom years. No more so than Belmayne which has much to do with the preposterous hoarding that went up on launch. That will be doing the rounds for years as an example of the madness of “property porn”. What the m...

Re: Sunday World

Hey blackstudio look… I am not trying to get up anyone’s nose here just making an observation about your forum. The online community forum is a pretty new development and can be a force for great good in the community. But it can also drag a place down. Have a look around the web… many online forum...

Re: TV Documentary on new Housing Developments in Ireland

There is a lot i could think about saying! My main issue is I would never have bought into a development like St Samsons if i had of known the lack of rights residents have with regard to running our estate, management companies are left with way too much control, the builder is heavily protected, h...

Re: Magnet Box Query

Yes its a pretty big operation because they wired up every home in the walls with the ethernet cables sourced from that magnet box, its silly that they did not put it in a cupboard for you is it in an awkward place?
