Horse in Belmayne
Hi all
Did anyone else see the horse in Belmayne this morning? He is at the entrance to the estate where the hoarding meets the railings - pretty much on the malahide road. He walked up as far as he could go. I was watching him for a few minutes and he doesn't seem to realise he will have to walk backwards in order to turn himself around. Hopefully he hasn't been there for too long. Thought I was seeing things this morning!

Dee,
Did you report this to the guards or to the Animal welfare section in Dublin City Council?

He could be a danger to himself there or others if he was to bolt out onto the road!

Agree with Zaz. The DSPCA need to be called when a horse is left untethered and unattended on a road for his own sake and for others.

Looks like we now have 2 horses! Just seen them down in the field between Belmayne and St Samsons beside the playground.
Some one has left them there to grass. This is all we need in Belmayne

One of these poor horses is in a very bad condition - he appears to have a bad leg and is very malnourished.
Would anyone that has concerns about these animals' welfare and the fact that they could be a danger
to themselves (if they bolted there could be a serious accident), please contact the guards, dublin city council
(horse section) and dspca?
The more people that report this the better..........

Oh that is so sad, I abhor maltreatment of animals. I will get onto the DSPCA first thing in the morning.
I did not get close enough to see the horses condition.

Re: Horse in Belmayne
Due to the hard work of a couple of residents, these poor horses have now been safely removed.
